Celebrating Wilma’s Life

God graced Wilma V. Rawls with 98 years of life. All of which she lived to the fullest. She was loving, strong willed, kind, funny, sassy and very spoiled. Our mother was an extended Mom and Grandma to her children and grandchildren’s friends. She was the matriarch of both the Rawls and Vaulx families and wore that title proudly.

This year was difficult for her as she suffered the loss of her daughter. She was ready to go. She became weary every night and would say she was tired.

On December 22, 2019, she saw her Mother, took her hand and transitioned to our Heavenly Kingdom. For this, we praise God, as she is with her husband, Jesse J. Rawls; son Harold Frank Rawls and of course her daughter, Phyllis Jackson, great-grandson Dameon Jackson. Also waiting to welcome her home are her parents, Ed and Queen Vaulx; brothers, Jim, Albert, Edward, Marshall, Tobe, Carlton and Johnnie; sister, Freddie Mae Thomas. The Vaulx circle is now complete.

Those celebrating her transition are her children, son, Danny (Evelyn) Rawls; daughters Dorothy L. Still and her partner in crime, Wilma Y Rawls; son- in-law, Arthur Jackson; loving grandchildren, Dante Still, Paul Still, Shana (Antoine) Sankey, Jason (Patt) Rawls, Artigues and Tenetra Jackson, Brandon (Charlotte) Rawls; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation 10:00AM and Funeral Service 11:00AM Monday, December 30, 2019 at First Church of God, 3480 Refugee Rd.

Interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
