Mr. Lawrence R. Parsons, 82, passed away on April 26, 2021 at his residence with his loving children. Lawrence was born on August 20, 1938 in Mansfield, OH to William Parsons and Maebell Walker.
Mr. Parsons graduated from Mansfield Senior High School, served honorably in the U.S. Army and retried from Empire Detroit Steel. He was a member of at Crossroads Church where he served as a greeter.
Lawrence is preceeded in death by his wife, Hazel Parsons, his parents; sisters, Monabell, Mattie Jean, Shirley and Evelyn and his brother William Russell Parsons Jr.
Lawrence is survived by son David Parsons; daughter Kimberly Parsons; sisters, Rita Dulin, Carolyn (Kary Jr.) Catchings and Marietta Thomas; special friends Margaret Roper, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Public Viewing will be held on Monday, May 3, 2021 from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE MANSFIELD (formerly Williams Funeral Service) 753 McPherson St.
Procession will depart from The Chapel of Peace Mansfield at 10:30am Tuesday for a Graveside Service at 11:00 AM at Mansfield Cemetery.

Condolences for the family of “Mr. Lawrence R. Parsons”
Mr. Lawrence and I worked together for many years at the Steel Mill. Lawrence was a great guy and a good friend. I want to send my sincere condolences to his family.

We have know your family for a long time, we are praying strength and God’s continual love during this time.
Since knowing my uncle Lawrence (from my birth, through growing up when we all lived on Foster Street with my grandmother Maebell, and through adulthood), he was an expression of selfless kindness to so many. When our lives are but a whisper on this earth, may this legacy of him, his kindness to every soul, be ever so indelibly planted in our hearts.
Dearest Kim and family,
My heart aches with yours in the loss of your dear daddy. I know he was an amazing guy, because of the amazing daughter he raised. Your journey alongside him these last several months revealed the deep love that was shared. May our Heavenly Father wrap His living arms around you in comfort and peace , knowing that your daddy is in the presence of His Savior!

Larry was a meek, caring and friendly person who will be missed by many. LOVE YOU.
Mr. Parsons will always be remembered by me for his kind, gentle spirit. He always went out of his way to make one feel at ease. My parents thought the world of him and my mother spoke of him fondly all of the time. My condolences and prayers for the family on the passing of a great man.
Our deepest sympathies, Carolyn for you and your family. I pray your memories will give you peace at this time.
