Butler

Dorothy “Dot” Mae Butler was born in Dixon Mills, Alabama, to the late Ervin and Laura Bell Agee on December 16, 1943.

She attended Marengo city schools, She graduated from Marengo High School in 1961 and moved to Columbus, Ohio shortly thereafter.

She soon met and married her husband, Johnnie Butler Sr. They had 3 Children, Tanya, Jacklyn, and Johnnie Jr.

Dorothy was a long and hard-working woman with a multitude of friends from her job’s and the neighborhood. Her door was always open to all.

Dorothy preceded in death by her mother, Laura Bell Agee; Father, Ervin Agee; sister Susie B. Price, Virgina “TUT’’ Hancock; Brother, Ervin “Doe” Agee Jr., Willie Agee.

Left to cherish her memory are her three Children, Tanya, Jackie, and John; her sibling, Joseph Agee, and Bertha “Bert” Agee; brother- in-law Herschel Butler, Junior, Samual; Four sister-in-law’s, Evelyn Agee, Mary Hunt, Florida Bell McNair, Lily Lowe; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephew, and loved ones.

Visitation 1:00 PM and Funeral Service 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH 2500 Cleveland Ave. Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.
