Eva was born in Mansfield Ohio on August 18, 1957 to parents Ruby and Bozie Porter. Out of this union she was the third out of four daughters.

Eva had an infectious laugh but, was an industrious and goal oriented person. She always took care of herself. Eva was a graduate of Malabar High School in Mansfield, received her bachelor degree from Akron University and, received her Masters from Texas University. Eva worked at various jobs thru her life. After 25 years she retired from the Federal Government. She also had been a counselor/social worker, prison guard, counselor at an HBCU, and a nurses aid.

Eva was a cancer survivor. She enjoyed traveling in the southern states, cruises and, socializing with family and friends. Her favorite activities were providing ancestry information for family, scrap booking, movies, dancing and, visiting casinos. She loved animals and have spoiled several cats and dogs.

Eva was not married and did not have any children but had a host of relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother Ruby Porter, father Bozie Porter, her maternal aunt Rosie Crooks and, cousins Aaron and Selwyn May.

Her surviving family are sisters Ruby, Mary and, Helen Porter; nieces Monyetta and Olivia Porter; nephew Lemuel Bowden II; grand nieces and nephews Deija, Jaida and, Lemuel III Bowden; and, Demauri Rawls. Cousins: Willie May (CA.); Elaine Ware, Tomacena Crawford and Gail Brownlee (SC);Doris Posey (GA) and Cynthia Paker (OH).

Let us rejoice in the memory of Eva Annette Porter. Amen.
Family will receive friends from 10:00am to 12:00 noon Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, MANSFIELD CHAPEL,753 McPherson St. (formerly Williams Funeral Services). To the Porter Girls and families. You may not remember me, but I remember you. We all wwnt to Mt. Calvary Baptist church,(on the hill). Your mom sang in the Senior choir. The baptismal pool was behind the pulpit! Those were the days! God be with you all in your time of bereavement.
