Nekoda Leftenant, age 59.  Sunrise March 31, 1958 in Freeport, NY and Sunset February 3, 2018.  Koda was a well-known and respected for his punching power Light Heavyweight Amateur Boxer and a phenomenal drummer. Koda was also a private sub-contractor for AABLE Roofing for over thirty years.  He loved his kids and family immensely.

Nekoda is preceded in death by his parents Jeffus Leftenant, Sr and Joan Thomas Leftenant, brothers Franklin Leftenant and Darius Leftenant, sister Eureaka Leftenant.

Left to cherish his memory, daughter Stacie ‘Tinker’ Corley and sons Shawntae Barrett, Cedric Barrett, Nicholas and Nekoda Barrett, grandchildren Dominique Robinson and Tay”Marie Robinson, brothers Jeffus (Mary) Leftenant, Jr., Se-bah (Tanelle) Leftenant, Ju-bal Leftenant and Qu-Qu-Ra Leftenant, sisters Thelma Dejesus, Ki-Son Bealer, Leviticus Leftenant, Tra-Bu Leftenant and Sha-Zar (Aaron) Knight. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives and good friends.

Visitation 2:00pm and Memorial service 3:00pm Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Marlan Gary Funeral Home, The Chapel of Peace North, 2500 Cleveland Ave.
