“The Man, the Myth, the Legend.”
Robert Jermaine Miller (Rob Mill) (Millticket) age 44 departed this life
unexpectedly on July 27, 2018 in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on July 11th, 1974
to Sylvia Miller King and Robert Baber. Rob attended Canton McKinley Senior high
school and later graduated from Columbus State Community College with an
Associate’s degree in science certifying him as an electrician. He was employed at
Waibel Electric Company and recently was doing private electric contracting work.
Rob was dedicated to hard work and a perfectionist. He naturally inherited his
entrepreneurial spirit from his maternal grandparents the late Christine V. Miller
and Sterling A. Miller as most recently Rob and his sister Christine King were set
to embark on a new business venture that entailed residential real estate
property investing. To him his greatest accomplishments were his children and
the love he had for his mother was unparalleled to any other relationship.
Rob was everybody’s best friend and coach. He was “The Coach, The
Playmaker and Game Changer” in this thing we call life. You knew he was the
coach in any conversation because he only had one tone of voice and that was
“LOUD!” He was the kind of guy that always wanted to know “WHY” you were
doing things a certain way because in his mind his way was always going to be the
right way but through it all he would give you the shirt off his back. When he
entered a room he had an aura, an essence, a commanding presence that was
unmatched and people naturally gravitated towards him. The men wanted to be
him and all the women wanted to be with him. Rob will fondly be remembered
for his style, the way he dressed which dates back to high school days where he
was named best dressed. Rob Mill was effortlessly “FLY!” If you knew Rob you
knew his passion for cars from his first car which was a blue Chevy Blazer, to his
Jeep Grand Cherokee with the crash bars, to his Lexus GS 300, and most recently
his 72’ Chevelle.
No matter the capacity of his presence in your life he was truly a blessing.
He gave effortlessly and loved unconditionally. Robert was loved beyond words
and will be missed beyond measure. These memories will continue to linger in the
hearts and minds of not only his immediate family but those that he called
“friends.”
Robert was preceded in death by his Grandfather Sterling A. Miller, Grandmother
Christine V. Miller, Aunt Jean Carol (Pig) Norris-Miller, Cousin Robert (Star) Card II,
Cousin Chester Stewart, Grandfather Marcellus E. Baber and Grandmother Mary Baber.
Robert leaves to cherish his memory his Mother Sylvia Miller-King of (Pataskala,

My condolences and prayers to the extended Miller and King family. Your title of the obituary of Rob is so fitting because since the first time I met him at McKinley, he draws you in. He is definitely a legend and always will be. Rob had swag before the word was ever heard of. I haven’t seen or heard from him in a couple of years but the Rob I knew would’ve helped out anyone in need. Rest in Heaven Rob. The Lord will take the wheel.
Rob was a great person and I am great full that I had the pleasure of meeting such a wonderful person. FACE I’ll always remember you
