Ronald Norman Gibson

Ronald Norman Gibson was born April 23, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio to Wetona Alsup and John Leon Gibson and departed this life on December 27, 2021.

Norman was a 1959 graduate of East High School and went on to work for the State of Ohio and other
Various parttime jobs. He loved working and keeping busy.

Norman then went on to marry Barbara Booker in Columbus, Ohio and that union produced three children: Kimberly (Robert) Chandler, Keith (Michelle) Gibson, and Kraig (Michelle B.) Gibson. Ronald also had two other daughters Rene Clark and Kelley (David) Bender.

Norman retired after 33 years of employment with the State of Ohio. He enjoyed selling cars, bowling
with his wife Barbara, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He never met
a stranger and always willing to help others. He loved taking road trips and long-distance driving. He liked watching old movies, especially westerns.

Norman is proceeded in death by his mother, Wetona Dawkins; father, John Leon Gibson; stepfather, Edward Dawkins; sister, Carole Gibson; and brother, Raymond Gibson.

Norman leaves to cherish his memory is wife, Barbara Gibson; children, Kimberly (Robert) Chandler, Keith (Michelle) Gibson, Kraig (Michelle B.) Gibson, Rene Clark, and Kelley (David) Bender; sister, Cynthia Yvette Turner; brothers, Christopher (Joanna) Dawkins and Hamadi Rose-Dawkins; grandchildren, Kourtnee (Isaac), Bobby, Kiera (Saun), Roddell, Tashuwauna, Kerriscia, Raven, Keren, Noel, Nakira, Tanika, Iesha, Tishay(Caleene) Tekela, Tashara (Joseph), Teakawndra, and Teakwon; and special great grandson and bowling partner, Kraig Jaylen; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Norman will be truly missed by his friends, family and all that had the honor of knowing him.

Visitation 9:00am Funeral 10:00am Saturday, January 8, 2022 at New Birth, 3475 Refugee Road.

Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.

Just wanted to say I love and miss you so much. It’s been a little over 2 years and the pain just becomes apart of life. Kraig has been doing amazing in bowling! I know you would have been at every match.
I thank God for the 35 years you were apart of my life. I miss you beyond words……..
