Rose Joan Griffin 82, of Springfield who passed away early Thursday morning August 15th. She was the daughter of Joseph and Mabel Hunter from Springfield Ohio. Rose had three siblings, Margaret Holts Barbara Jean “Boogie” Hunter, and Robert “Bobby” Hunter.

Rose Joan Griffin graduated from Springfield South High School. She also was a certified Barber. Rose was a devoted Mother and grandmother she had a huge heart who lived to provide for her family to see them happy she was a homebody she loved helping and taking care of her family and friends she was a woman of God who believed in the Word.

Rose is preceded in death by her son, Antonio Wendell Dozier and grandson, Samuel Antonio Dozier.

Rose leaves to cherish her memory, two children, Marchia “Marty” Dozier and Judith “Judy” Dozier from Harvey IL; longtime friend, Eddie Pyform; 6 grandchildren, Bianca Dozier Yarbrough, Onna Dozier, Tishawna Dozier, Enjoli Dozier, Dara Dozier, and Cortez Dozier; 23 great grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, Tina Green- Hutchins, Curtina Green, Vershonda Green, Malikia Green, Kenyadi Green, Calton Green, and Deshawn Green, and special friends.

Visitation 2:00pm and Funeral 3:00pm Saturday, August 31, 2019 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.
