Savonne Maurice Wright Jr. Sunrise March 25, 1993 and Sunset August 15, 2018. Savonne was born to Savonne Maurice Wright Sr. and Tanika Locke in Columbus, Ohio. Savonne was the second oldest of six children.
Savonne loved swimming, he was a lifeguard for four years for Columbus Parks and Recreation. Savonne loved to write, photography, and traveling. He had the opportunity to travel to France, Spain and Germany when he was 17 years old.
Savonne loved to have fun with his friends: James Ransom, whom he had known since he was 5 years old, along with Desmond Bonner, Deante Speer, Michael Cumberland, and Roman Holland II. Savonne graduated from Columbus Africentric Early College and attended Wright State University.
Even though Savonne’s time on earth was brief, we will always remember his beautiful smile, intelligence, love, and fun spirit. You will forever live in our hearts and we will miss you dearly.
Savonne is preceded in death by cousin Yasmine Wilson.
He leaves to cherish his memory; maternal grandmother Buphenia (Buffy) Poulson, paternal grandmother Verlene Wright, aunts Tania (Demetrius) Tucker, Tonda (Paul) Arthur, uncles Ervin Davidson, Brent Nichols, and close cousins Cian and Cierra Locke, also a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Viewing 11:00am and Funeral 12:00 noon Friday August 24, 2018 at Triumphant Christian Center 904 Thomas Ave.

To the Wright family. My heart is with you and your family at this time of your loss. There is comfort in knowing God’s promises about the resurrection hope. Read Acts 24:15 and Revelation 21:4.
