Stephan L. Butler, 59, went peacefully to be with the Lord, September 19, 2019 at his home in Columbus, Ohio. Stephan was formerly employed by The Columbus City Schools as a custodian ll. Known to his family and friends as “Ice Jr.”, he was an extraordinary grill master who enjoyed feeding his family and friends.

He was an avid football fan who also enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns. He loved a clean car and would clean his niece’s cars when they came over for Sunday dinner.

Stephan was preceded in death by his father, Jerry M. Butler Sr.; brother, Larry Butler; paternal grandparents, Benjamin and Clorine Butler; maternal grandparents, Burrell and Edith Kendrick; and brother-in-law Eddie Guice.

Left to cherish his memory, mother, Emma M. Butler; son, Stephan L. Butler; brothers, Jerry M. (Sharon) Butler, Jr., Charles T. Butler, Gary L. (Rochelle) Butler, and Daryl (Tomoko) Butler; sisters, Cheryl D. Guice, Regina R. Moore and Jackie E. (Lamont) Jones; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and best friend and porch buddy, Brian Sawyer.

Visitation 9AM and Funeral Service 10AM Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Smyrna Baptist Church, 1650 Wilson Ave.

Interment at Green Lawn Cemetery.
