Stephanie Ann Smith was a bright light that touched so many people. Stephanie was born on April 25, 1967 (Twin A) at Mt. Carmel Hospital to Paul L. Smith and Estalene McCoy-Smith.

Stephanie went to Whetstone High School. She loved her family. Everyone had a different spot in her heart. She was joined in marriage to Rocky Sanford on May 6, 1995 and from that union she had four beautiful kids, Sheena Smith-Sanford, Tamara Smith-Sanford, Thomas Smith-Sanford, and Ricardo Smith-Sanford. She lived a life that came with its ups and downs, but she moved through it with ease. She was a walking testimony; but you would never know because she would say, “I’m ok”. Stephanie loved to dance, sing, worship the Lord, etc.

Stephanie is preceded in death by her son, Ricardo Smith-Sanford; grandparents, Deacon Lawrence Smith and Evangelist Susie Smith, and Robert and Dorothy McCoy; mother, Evangelist Estalene McCoy-Smith; mother and father-in-law, Eleanor and James Sanford; sisters, Tamara Smith, Helena Jenkins, Jonelle Sanford-Hawkins and Sandy Sanford; brothers, Robert Smith Sr, Jeremiah (Uncleman) Sanford; and great nephew, Ricardo (Mannie) Mills, etc.

Stephanie leaves to cherish her memory, father, Paul L. Smith; husband, Rocky Sanford; children, Sheena, Tamara, and Thomas; grandchildren, Mi-Sean, Tyonna, Zariah, Beautiful, Tamara, Tamarion, and Rumor J. Smith; brothers, Stephan Smith (Twin B), Paul L. Smith, Kalqam Whitlow, Antwoin Reed, James Sanford, and Eugene Sanford; sisters, Jacqueline Smith, Julia Smith, Judith Smith, Jacqueline Sandford, and Zina Sanford; Pastors Dave and Ireatha Renee Dawes; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Thursday, December 30, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.
