KendrixTaShayla

TaShayla Breianna Kendrix, was born September 10, 1995 in Columbus, Ohio to Ms. Selena Kendrix. She went home to be with the Lord on September 3, 2019.

TaShayla was a graduate of Mifflin High School class of 2017. She was a active member at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. She was employed at McDonalds.

As the youngest daughter of a family of four with a single mom, she loved her daughter, family, and friends. Shayla was the kind of young woman who fights hard and love even harder. She was a very giving person and had a heart that ran the deepest of compassion, and also looking for a way to brighten the next persons day. She would also always be the first one to reach out to someone just to see how they are doing.

Shayla truly and deeply treasured her family. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her beautiful daughter and her family watching movies, going to the park, swimming, traveling, cookouts and being at her nephews football games.

In her spare time, she loved to take silly pictures with her daughter and share new adventures with her. She also like to listen to music, draw, read, sing, hang out with friends, shopping, and to laugh and relax. Shaylas favorite time of the year was Halloween . She loved taking her daughter and nephew out to go trick-or-treating . She also loved Thanksgiving because she got to see much more family and eat a lot of food. Christmas and birthdays were exciting to her because she loved making homemade cards and pictures to give so that it would brighten someone’s day.

TaShayla is preceded in death by great grandpa Henry L. (Maria) Kendrix, grandparents Carolyn Kendrix, and Paul (Georgia) Lambert.

She leaves to cherish her memory; loving and devoted parents Selena Kendrix and Ron Nutter Jr., daughter Neveyah Kendrix, siblings Tamika (Kenneth) Osborne, Tyrell (Heaven) Kendrix, and Tywuan Kendrix, nephews Daviontae Kendrix-Wilson, Kenneth Kellam III., and Kingson Kendrix and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends

Visitation 9:00 AM and Funeral Service 10:00 AM Saturday, September 21, 2019 at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 2121 Joyce Ave.

Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.

Condolence from Brenda Murphy-Calloway on September 17th, 2019 9:40 am

To the Hendrix Family, my sincere condolences. God needed another Rose for His flower garden and chose Tashayla. We are often tossed and driven on this restless sea of life, somber skies and hollow tempest oft succeed the bright sunshine, but in that Land of perfect day when the clouds are rolled away, we will understand it better by and by. My sweet rememberance of Shayla will always be our moment in time, me holding her in my arms when she was a little baby and rocking her in my favorite rocking chair. Love always, “aka Grandma Brenda Murphy-Calloway”

Condolence from Evans family on September 21st, 2019 7:06 am

There are no words to express the sorrow in our hearts. Please except our deepest sympathy. May God comfort you during this time of great loss. There is a sense of helplessness when someone we love dies. Many wonder how one gets through this time. Take time to reflect on the good times you shared with your love ones. Prayer is extremely valuable at this time.
