Terrance Lawrence “Terry” Madison, Sr., age 54 of Columbus, OH passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020. He was born on March 20, 1965 in Youngstown, OH. to father, Richard Nelson (Gray) and mother, Karen Madison-Harris.

Condolence from Terry Logan on March 13th, 2020 11:37 pm

The Logans offer our sincere condolences.
I learned life-long lessons from my mentor Terry Madison while playing for The Rayen School Football Team.
During his senior year, I played Left Guard and as the Center, Terry anchored the Offensive Line.
Throughout my life, especially during tough times, I distinctly recall those times on the field when Terry motivated me. He would simply say “Block Terry, Block!
That year we won the Youngstown City Series championship, as co-champs. At that time, Rayen had not won the Football City Series title since the 1960s.
Moreover, we gained more yards than any other team in the city. To top it off, November 4th 1982, the last game of the season, we beat our archrival South High in a nail-biter that was literally decided on the last play of the game!
Even though we experienced a lot of adversity in the Win/Loss column that season Terry taught me to never give up, regardless of the score or how much time is left on the clock. Always try and give your best!
I am forever grateful for his mentorship, generosity, and leadership!

Sincerely,
Terry Logan

May the GOD of TRANSITION be with US, inviting US to the new and the unknown where GOD waits to spring to life in US. May our willingness to be changed bring US ever nearer to the constancy of GOD, the one who was and is and will forever be our GOD. May our openness draw others to see GOD in their own TRANSITIONS. May the GOD of TRANSITION BLESS US.
