Mr. Thomas Daniels, Jr. (Affectionately known as ‘Byrd’ by his family and friends), 70, transitioned this life on June 18, 2021. Thomas was born on March 29, 1951 in Dayton, OH to Jack Nesmith and June Thomas-Boykins (cared for by grandparents) Thomas J Daniels, Sr. and Eloise Daniels of Dayton, Ohio.
He is preceded in death by parents Jack (Catherine) Nesmith, Columbus, Ohio June Thomas-Boykins, grandparents Thomas and Eloise Daniels, Sr. Siblings Calvin Smith and Jackie Webb Special friend Charlotte M. Clayton.
Thomas attended Paul Dunbar High School in Dayton, OH. After high school, Thomas served in The United States Army. Thomas moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1977. Where he made the Mt. Vernon community his home until his death.
Those who remain to cherish memories of Tommy ‘Byrd’ his children son Thomas J Daniels III; daughter Afrika M Jackson; son Milan Daniels. Grandchildren; Todd, Marcus, Mynia, Tyriq, Trashaawn, Jalin and Marwan (known as Hustle & Flow). Great Grandchildren; Adonis and Mila Gross and Blessen Daniels includes a host loving relatives and special friends; Stevie Whitson, Jr, Marty Perkins, Sr., Daughter in Love Nettey Gaulding.
