Trina Lynn Floyd, age 36 passed this life on January 9, 2019 at Ohio Health after a brief illness. She was born on December 20, 1982 in Mansfield, Ohio and was a lifelong resident.
Trina was a graduate of Madison High School in 2001 and Kent State University in 2006. She got her Associates Degree in accounting and her bachelor’s in business administration. Trina was employed at Kingston of Ashland; Northeast Professionals and was currently employed as a STNA at Continental Home Health Care. Trina was working on getting her nursing degree. She loved sports and would root for the Cleveland Browns. She was also a movie buff. Trina spear headed an effort to help get young people off of the streets.
Trina is preceded in death by father Calvin Q. Floyd, brother Calvin Jr., big mom Conuse Haley, grandmother Naomi Tanner, Godfather Frank Scott Sr., and uncles Sylvester Guyton, and Johnny and Larry Tanner.
She leaves to cherish her memory; mother Cheryl Floyd-O’Bryant, bonus dad Franklin O’Bryant, Godparents Corrine Scott, and Anthony and Carol Scott, sister Marilyn Floyd of Elkhart, Indiana, aunts Annette Brownlee of Crofton, MD. Ann (Leon) Jefferson of Ontario, OH. Mary Petty, Anna (Johnny Ray) Anderson, April Tanner, Juanita (Lee) Nared, and Abbie (Tim) O’Bryant all of Mansfield, OH., uncles Calvin Cannada, Edward Small, and Robert Tanner all of Mansfield, OH., Special friends Kelly, Jodi, and Sarah, and Shawn; special aunt, Kay Chambry and a host of other family and friends. Trina will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
Visitation 10:00am and Home Going Service 11:00am Friday January 18, 2019 at Maddox Memorial COGIC 1148 Walker Lake Rd.
Interment at Mansfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday 5-9:00pm at The Country Inn, 2069 Walker Lake Rd.

Cheryl I can’t even begin to tell you the sorrow that I feel for the losing of Trina. You have my sincere condolences and prayers going up to our God that he will give you strength.
Trina was a kind soul with a beautiful smile. She had a spunky attitude and was always down to earth. She will truly be missed. May God bless you all with strength and comfort during your time of bereavement. “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”.

This is such sad news Trina touch more lives than any of us will ever know I know you are free now my niece you can run the Pearly streets of heaven you get the rub elbows with your love ones that has passed on please kiss Granny for me and give uncle Johnny a super big hug until we meet again my love may God watch over your soul I’m sure you have a crown shiny and beautiful as you are

Trina was the most amazing angel on earth I have ever met. I was fortunate to be her friend and work with her to change our community. Anyone whose life Trina touched was made better by her presence. Fly high my sweet beautiful friend. I love you. To Trinas family I am truly sorry for your lose, but know she made a huge differance for the good in this world.

Trina was such a fun-loving and genuine person. I have many happy band memories with her. Many thoughts, prayers, and love to her family.
Trina I have so many great memories with you from marching band. You were the sweetest person anyone could know. I enjoyed our talks and will miss you so much. I will see you at the pearly gates when this life is over. Love you Sis.
Cheryl, so very sorry when i read you lost your angel trina, she was your heart and such a beautiful girl with a loving heart, her love for her family and her love for those in need, was a true testament of her love for god, and god sent into your life a man of the lord. God has plans for trina we will never understand but know his love is with her and you, i hope i can leave work to stop by,much love.

Love you so much. I can’t even start to imagine how the loss of your dear Trina has been for you. I remember when she was full of life as a little girl and became an even better as she grew into a beautiful vessel. I loved the fact that we were able to reunite within last few years to share love with each other, especially when it came to her beloved Cleveland Browns. May God comfort you and Elder with his love.
Blessings to you Cheryl and Elder. I was sad to hear that our Beloved Trina has left us. I will never know what it feels like to lose a child, but I know that she was a gift that God gave to you and us for a only a period of time. The time that he gave us was marvelous and will linger in our hearts forever. Love you with all my heart.
