Trina Lynn Floyd, age 36 passed this life on January 9, 2019 at Ohio Health after a brief illness. She was born on December 20, 1982 in Mansfield, Ohio and was a lifelong resident.

Trina was a graduate of Madison High School in 2001 and Kent State University in 2006. She got her Associates Degree in accounting and her bachelor’s in business administration. Trina was employed at Kingston of Ashland; Northeast Professionals and was currently employed as a STNA at Continental Home Health Care. Trina was working on getting her nursing degree. She loved sports and would root for the Cleveland Browns. She was also a movie buff. Trina spear headed an effort to help get young people off of the streets.

Trina is preceded in death by father Calvin Q. Floyd, brother Calvin Jr., big mom Conuse Haley, grandmother Naomi Tanner, Godfather Frank Scott Sr., and uncles Sylvester Guyton, and Johnny and Larry Tanner.

She leaves to cherish her memory; mother Cheryl Floyd-O’Bryant, bonus dad Franklin O’Bryant, Godparents Corrine Scott, and Anthony and Carol Scott, sister Marilyn Floyd of Elkhart, Indiana, aunts Annette Brownlee of Crofton, MD. Ann (Leon) Jefferson of Ontario, OH. Mary Petty, Anna (Johnny Ray) Anderson, April Tanner, Juanita (Lee) Nared, and Abbie (Tim) O’Bryant all of Mansfield, OH., uncles Calvin Cannada, Edward Small, and Robert Tanner all of Mansfield, OH., Special friends Kelly, Jodi, and Sarah, and Shawn; special aunt, Kay Chambry and a host of other family and friends. Trina will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Visitation 10:00am and Home Going Service 11:00am Friday January 18, 2019 at Maddox Memorial COGIC 1148 Walker Lake Rd.

Interment at Mansfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday 5-9:00pm at The Country Inn, 2069 Walker Lake Rd.

I remember when she was full of life as a little girl and became an even better as she grew into a beautiful vessel.
