Walter Leroy “Cagi” Trammell Jr. of Columbus, Ohio was born September 18, 1956 to Walter Leroy Sr. and Lillie Mae (Giddings) Trammell. He was called home November 23, 2020.

Walter was born in Rome, GA in 1956. The family relocated to Akron, Ohio in 1964 where he attended Public School and graduated East High School in 1975. He then moved to Columbus, Ohio where he met his first wife and mother to his 3 children, Cheryl Smith. He then became employed with the State of Ohio as a postal worker. Later he became a single father raising his 3 children. He then obtained work at Columbus Still Drums, there he worked for over 20 years. Walter by then met Sandra Jones, they later married in 2002. He enjoyed chess, pole basketball, loved the Browns, playing cards with his family and wildlife, and of course Startrack. He loved to go to the casino, where he earned the nickname Hollywood Cagi.

Walter was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather.

Walter was preceded in death by his father, Walter Sr; aunt, Betty Walkins; and nephew Robin Robinson.

Walter leaves to cherish in his memory, his mother, Lilley Mae; the mother of his children, Cheryl Smith; sons, Anthony S. Smith, Walter III; one loving daughter Amber T (Steve); 5 grandchildren, Travon, Kamaya Omarion, Savanna, Arliyah; brother, Raymond (Patricia- Pat); sisters, Patricia (Kevin), Cathy (Cleveland), Mary (Robin), and Tammy (Cedric); and a host of family and friends, including special friends, Carl “BooBoo” Crumpton, Dwight Hill, Robin Evans, Alvin Peace, and ED Burnside.

10:00am Visitation and 11:00am Funeral Friday, December 11, 2020 at The Chapel of Peace East, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.
