Yvonda Jean Jones, a beautiful and generous mother of 10, was called home to Christ on June 4, 2021 at approximately 9:30pm. She was 61 years old.

Yvonda Jones was born July 24, 1959 in Huntington, West Virginia to the late mother, Mamie-Lee Jones and father, Arciedus. She is accompanied by her siblings, Gwen, Letha, Cindy, Bill, Debra, Sherry, David and Dennis Jones.

Yvonda Jones was community oriented and loved the many that she come to know. She worked as a nurse for many years and provided care to many who were without.

Yvonda Jones is preceded in death by her 2 children, Marlazia Jones and Regina Jones; brother, Billy Ray Jones; sister, Letha Sue Jones; and great nephew, Marquan Jones.

Yvonda Jones was a single parent and raised 10 children on her own in Columbus, OH. She leaves to cherish the precious memories with her immediate children, LaTonya, Richard, Tamika, Lakeisha, Adam, Marshella, Jayonna, and Marniqua, whom she loved very much. She also leaves her heartfelt memories of love and happiness to her 21 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Yvonda Jones was employed with The Columbus Ohio’s Postal Service. She loved her job and enjoyed helping others and giving back. She was also baptized at Harvest Time Ministries International Church and was filled with the Holy Spirit. She loved her relationship with God and always enjoyed sharing her testimony with others.

Her biggest quote of inspiration was “one can achieve great things when you apply your mind.”

Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Friday, June 25, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.

Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.
