Jeffrey L. “Kofi” Johnson, 51. Sunrise August 1, 1962 and Sunset March 24, 2014. Jeffrey was a 1980 graduate of Brookhaven High School and was employed at Battelle. He was preceded in death by his sister Pamela Johnson, stepfather Paul Heard and grandparents L.B. and Violet Williams. Left to cherish his memory, mother Nellie I. Heard, father Edward L. (Bernice) Betton Sr., sisters Kameela “Kim” Bashir, Rinda Strain, Letitia “DeeDee” (Tony) Sims, Tondrea “Tonnie” (Cleveland) Goodlow, Aretha “Reethie” Betton and Kimberly “Cookie” Arrington, brothers Edward L. (Nicole) Betton Jr. and Todd (Velma) Stokes, girlfriend Deborah Aston, Goddaughter Nia-Imani Stokes and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
