Chelsey Nicole Radcliff age 30, born February 21, 1993, in Columbus, Ohio, tragically departed us on July 4, 2023.
Chelsey, lovingly known by family as “Whoop” was an outstanding student who was top 10 in her high school as well as National Honor Society. She was an awesome basketball player who attended Eastmoor Academy, earning top honors in
first team All-state, City, and Central District Player of the Year.
Chelsey was employed at Nationwide Insurance and was currently attending Trident University studying for her Bachelor’s in business and was also on the Dean’s list. She was scheduled to receive her degree in 2024.
She is preceded in death by fiancé, Gustavo Roman; grandparents, Carolyn and Bob Treadway; great-grandmothers, J. Vivian Smith and Ruby Williams.
She is survived by her parents, Robin and Dorrian Radcliff; grandparents, Pam (Kevin) Owens and Robert Oliver; siblings, Courtney Reed, Derrick Radcliff, Nichelle Radcliff, Brittany and Juan Morton, Jr.; children, Kennedy, Carter, Keyvon (JuJu) Terry and Elaina Roman; stepchildren, Russell and Nadalin Roman; aunts, Tia Morton, Dreconda Easley, Victoria Radcliff, Arnetta Radcliff and Brooke Donaldson; uncle, Delondo Radcliff; best friend, Taronna O’neal and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and other family members.
Visitation 10:00 AM and Funeral Service 11:00 AM Monday, July 17, 2023 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Chelsey was a wonderful person. The first time I met her, I saw something special in her. She was excited and full of life and was on a mission to be the best version of herself. Her passion was cooking and her dream was to own her own restaurant someday. I wasn’t sure how that fit into Insurance, but any amount of time that I could leverage that bright and curious mind of hers, I was going to take it.
During our development talks Chesley expressed that she wanted to go back to school to get her bachelor degree and we started the process of getting her into school. She was so excited to be completing her degree in 2024. She was a super woman, working full time, going to school and being a mother. This year she bought some great fireworks for the 4th of July and was excited to have that time with Family. We looked forward to hearing her stories about the weekend and the kids.
We lost a member of our family at Nationwide, Chelsey was a great co-worker and friend.
She is and will be forever missed
