In Loving Memory of Dorothy “Dot or Dottie” Green, January 18, 1946 – January 26, 2024. Dorothy Green affectionally known as “Dot or Dottie”, beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away on January 26, 2024, at the age of 78. She will forever be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and friends, her dedication to hard work, and her vibrant spirit.

Born in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Dorothy was an exceptional individual who touched the lives of many. Dorothy worked at National City Bank for 10 years and went on to work as a receptionist for the Mid Ohio Food Bank Collective, where she retired and where she displayed her dedication to aiding others.

Dorothy had a passion for football and could often be found cheering on her favorite teams. She cherished the moments spent with her loved ones, embracing family gatherings and celebrations with sheer joy. Dorothy enjoyed playing the lottery and the occasional visit to the casino, spreading excitement to those around her. During her high school years, Dorothy showcased her athletic skills as a member of the track team, proudly representing the “Paul Winder Team” in relay races. She also showcased her musical talent as an alto singer, displaying her passion for music within the school choir. A master of the card games Bid Whist and Spades, Dorothy brought smiles and laughter to many friendly
competitions. Her competitive spirit and love for socializing made her a cherished companion.

Dorothy is survived by her loving daughters, Leslie Bryant and Erica Green; her brother, Theodore Bryant Jr.; and her sister, Theola Collins. She also leaves behind 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, countless extended family members and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.

In this time of grief, let us remember Dorothy for her unwavering love, infectious laughter, and the memories she leaves behind. She will be greatly missed and forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Visitation 9:00 AM and Funeral Service 10:00 AM Saturday, February 3, 2024 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd).
