Gloria Jean Person was born on January 4, 1951 in Tuskegee, Alabama to Henry Echols and Jessie Middlefield Echols.

Gloria was an extraordinary, God-fearing woman who gained her angel wings on December 5, 2023, in Columbus, Ohio.
Gloria was loved by many for her charismatic and loving personality. She found real joy in making others laugh, but also letting everyone know how she felt with a lot of love and conviction.

She enjoyed playing cards, music, and spending time with family and friends. She loved holidays because it allowed her to be surrounded by family to remind everyone who the true “Queen” of the family was.

Gloria spent over 2 decades married to her loving husband, Robert “Bobby” Person, whom she loved dearly. Their marriage was a
testament to their vows and effortless life and love for one another. They had a extraordinary life where they traveled but ended their journey here in Columbus, Ohio until the passing of Bobby in 2013.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bobby” Person; mother, Jessie Middlefield Echols; brothers, Tom Middlefield,
Henry Echols, and Lawerance Echols; sisters, Christine Middlefield White, and Georgia Middlefield Summers.

Gloria is survived by her sister, Mildred Middlefield Hawk; brother, Sam Echols; children, Lisa Griffin Smith, Deneisha Sams, Robert Person, Toby Person, and Dierdre Ogbebor. With a slue of nieces and nephews as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as close friends.
