Juan Applin

Juan Harold Applin, 61, went into eternal rest August 21, 2023 at McNaughton Pointe Nursing & Rehabilitation. He was born on April 22, 1961 in Springfield, Ohio to Rev. Kenneth and Alice Applin. Brother Juan accepted Christ at an early age. Through every trial, and all tribulation, Juan lived knowing that Christ would always be the source of his strength, his song of salvation and the height of his praise.
As the Holy Spirit guided him through life, He was lead to and joined Crackhouse Ministries on Cleveland Avenue, he became an outstanding member, ministry helper and encourager to those seeking a better life. In early 2023 Juan committed his membership to First Church of God-The City. His favorite time of the week was Sunday

A stubborn teenager he Left high school and would later earn his GED at Clark County Technical School. He was a quick learner and completed several on the job training courses. Juan began as a factory worker at age 16, on to TacoBell. Juan relocated to Columbus Ohio at age 20 to land a managerial position at Woolworths Eastland location, on to become a manager of Odd Lots, until he accepted a position at S& S Fashions where he intermittently held numerous entrepreneurial positions including buyer, he was employed there 30 years. Always looking for an opportunity to serve and provide, Nights Juan worked as a caregiver for Franklin County MRDD, and at ARK House Group Home for the past 5years until his illness hindered him. He genuinely loved serving his clients.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his children, Juanita Applin, Juan Applin Jr., Anthony Proctor, Richard McMahon, Timothy McMahon, Lee Gordon (Emaculate), Shawn (Kristy) Gordon 15 Grandchildren, Siblings, Rev. Kenneth L. Applin( Sheila), James Applin (Alverda), Wanda Oliver (Henry), Marylyn Tyler, 17 nephews and nieces who were more like brothers and sisters to Juan. 45 great nephews and nieces. Special friends Terri Thornton, Sharon Applin, and David Schwann, and many other friends colleagues. Brother Applin
is preceded in death by son Brandon Thornton, parents Rev. Kenneth B. and Alice Applin.
