Mary A. King

KingMaryAnn

Mary Ann King was born November 29, 1946 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Martinsville, VA to Peggy and Andrew King. She departed this life April 30, 2024 in Columbus, OH.

Mary Ann spent over two decades working at D. L. Auld and the Ohio State House, where she was known for her dedication and hard work. Her true pride and joy, however, came from her family and her church community at Mt. Gerizim Baptist Church.

Mary Ann’s love for God was evident in her active participation in bible studies and church services, where she served as a senior usher with grace and devotion.

Mary Ann had a green thumb and found solace in tending to her garden, creating a beautiful array of flowers that brought joy to all who saw them.

Mary Ann was honored to be a senior usher at Mt. Gerizim Baptist Church.

Mary Ann is survived by her only son Raymond A. (Gina) King, Sr; sister, Cora P. “Trish” King; grandson, Raymond A. King, Jr; granddaughter, Rayanna (Sam) King Barrett; 6 great grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; niece, Carolyn (Kevin) Kent; nephew, Lou; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation 9:00am and Funeral 10:00am Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Mount Gerizim Bapt Church, 2633 Mock Rd.

Mary was a beautiful person doing God’s work 24 hours a day. It was a pleasure knowing her. It was a blessing being affiliated with a woman who loved God. She is with the lord wearing her angel wings. Now, she will be watching over everyone and the church that Mary patronizes.
