Mr. Marcus Brandon Lee Harrison

On November 4, 1979, Marcus Brandon Lee Harrison made his grand arrival ready to take the world by the horns. Marcus was the 3rd child of his parents, Melvin Harrison Sr. and Patricia Drafton. He was known to be a loving and caring son and brother throughout his life. Small in stature, yet, large at heart, Marcus’ strength was the love and enjoyment for his daughters. Being their father and friend gave him purpose. Living on the Southeast side of Columbus Ohio, Marcus made his name known among the community. He stood on loyalty and love in all his relationships. Humor, spontaneity, and kindness fueled his veins, creating a rememberable adventure to all who was around him. Never a dull moment but a guaranteed sore face was the aftermath from smiling the whole time while being in his presence. He displayed what it was to be a brother and a friend to those that he surrounded himself with.

In 2010 Marcus received his Certificate of Competency in Horticulture from Ohio Central School System. He worked as a Janitor with Vantage Janitorial Services. He enjoyed the latest fashion and exploring life and all that it could offer through traveling. Marcus did not believe in limitation, not for himself or any of his close friends. He encouraged those around by uplifting words of motivation and pushing them to never give up. He was a “glass half full” thinker and no matter the circumstances, Marcus had the heart of a giver. On December 26, 2023, Marcus unexpectedly fell asleep and his final act of kindness was to give the gift of life as an organ donor.

Marcus is preceded in death by his son, Marcus Brandon Lee Harrison Jr.; paternal grandparents, TW Harrison, Ebb and Cassie Williams; and maternal grandparents, Leslie and Louise Williams.

He is survived by his daughters, Marshaya, Martasia, Markeylah, Markiylah; his father, Melvin (Lori) Harrison Sr.; his mother Patricia (Russel) Drafton; his brothers, Melvin Harrison II, Tyron (Sugar) Harrison, and Stephen Williams; his sisters, Tyra (Richard) Groce, and Micah (Raeshon) Antrum: his granddaughters, A’nayia and Marlayia; a host of cousins, nieces and nephews; the members of the cousin “Trifecta”, Ezzard Brandon Coates (B) and Teaira Harrison (T); best friend, Danielle Williamson.
