Ruth E. Butts, affectionately known as “Ruthie” was born on June 10, 1957, in Nelsonville, OH. To Floyd Wilkes and Patricia Ann Long Walker. Ruthie was called home to be with the lord on June 22, 2023. Ruthie was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Ruthie was a beautiful woman inside and out. Ruthie LOVED her family and will be greatly missed.
Ruthie was preceded in death by her mother Patricia Ann Long Walker; loving grandmother Alberta Wilkes; son Anthony Butts; grandson Anthony Butts Sr.; father-in-law Robert R. Butts, mother-in-law Ruth L. Butts, sister Mary Peppers; brother Deszi Burley.
Ruthie leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Robert V. Butts Sr.; Father Floyd Wilkes; children Patricia Ann Butts, son Robert (Thomasina) Butts Jr.,; granddaughters Ashely (Billy), Amber, Alicia, and Zyla Butts; great grandchildren Anthony Jr., Aaliyah, Amir Butts, and Deitrick Bensonhaver; stepmother Fantelle Burley; brothers Mike (Angela) , John (Rhoda) and Floyd Burley II, Donald (Alice) and Keith (Sarah) Butts Sr., Freddie (Lennette) Burst; sisters Flo Wilkes, Barbara (Thomas) Trust, Sue Towns, Flora and Diana Burley, Debbie Williams, Karla (Billy) Dancy, Tonya (Andy) Daniels, Lora (Steve) Barclay, Brittany, Shauntay and Latoyia Jefferies, Robin and June Butts and Shirley Kelso; special nephews Charles Peppers and Donald Butts Jr. Best friends Candy Carpenter, Marla Burst and Gary Anderson.
