Rahsaan Omiron Turhan James Jackson, affectionately known as ‘HOV’, passed away on January 17, 2024, in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio, at the tender age of 18. Born on November 16, 2005, he received his education at Columbus City Schools and was entering his senior year at South High School, graduating class of 2024.

From the early age of 5, Rahsaan enthusiastically played football for the South Side Bulldogs, finding joy in every touchdown and tackle. His love for the sport was accompanied by dreams of pursuing a career in the NFL. Rahsaan’s infectious personality and radiant smile could brighten any room, and he was recognized as a natural leader with aspirations to make a positive impact on the world.

Beyond his athletic pursuits, Rahsaan also showcased his sense of humor and culinary skills, proudly referring to himself as a kitchen chef. Pineapple upside-down cake and meatloaf stood out as his signature dishes. He eagerly anticipated spending time with loved ones, spreading joy to everyone fortunate enough to be around him.

The passing of Rahsaan is a profound loss, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rahsaan is preceded in death by his father, Prince Jackson, Jr.
Left to cherish Rahsaan’s memory is, mother, Reola Hale; grandparents, Prince Jackson, Sr., Debra Hale; siblings, Kiara Fields, Naveah Moorer, and Amir Jackson.
