Tawana Monique Gunther was born on March 19, 1968 in Warren, Ohio to
James T. Gunther and Elouise Caldwell Gunther.
She is a 1986 Graduate of Warren Western Reserve High. Tawana worked
in the manufacturing industry prior retiring to become a full time care giver
to her only granddaughter, Makirrah.
Tawana was an active E-Church Member of the Potters House – especially loving Bishop TD Jakes! She loved gospel music and would send family members sermons and songs to listen to DAILY!!!!
Tawana was also a “bootleg” doctor. If you had any type of illness – she
would tell you what medication to take and then tell you the names of
the particular doctor to see!
Though she put up a good fight, she finished her course, she kept the faith!
On June 7, 2023, her battle ended and she entered into eternal peace at
Mt. Carmel Hospital.
Tawana is survived by her children; Michael and Micaela, granddaughter; Makirrah, brothers; James A Gunther, (Elizabeth) of Youngstown, Ohio, Owen A. Gunther (Felicia ) of Lake City, Florida, and Eric A. Gunther, (Melanie) of Columbus, Ohio, two very special cousins; Deborah Morgan (Darren) of Atlanta, Ga, Clea-Caldwell Sangster (John) of Columbus, Ohio and a host of nephews and nieces, cousins, and friends.
Prededing her in death are her father; James T. Gunther Jr., mother; Elouise Caldwell, maternal grandparents; Owen and Louise Caldwell, paternal grandparents, James and Dora Gunther.
