Victor Andre Dorsey Sr. was born in Alanta Georgia, on May 22, 1956, to the union of the late Willie Dorsey and Julia M. Dorsey-(Emory) Arnold.

Victor’s family moved from Atlanta, Georgia to Columbus, Ohio in 1965. Victor was educated in the Columbus Public School, attending Linden McKinley High School.

Victor and Marsha met in School, at an early childhood age of 12 years old. He then married Marsha Walker, his elementary school sweetheart on May 21, 1977. Victor was a fun-loving husband, father, brother and friend. He had a strong Love for his family. Victor always had a Joke for you or just had something funny to say to keep you laughing. Victor enjoyed watching game shows, family feud, price is right. He couldn’t wait for football season to start. The Ohio State Buckeyes and NFL New England Patriots were his favorite teams. He was a guy that wanted home in order, so so. The hammer, paint brush, flowering, etc. Let’s Go!

Victor had a passion for roller skating, one of his favorite hobbies. He was so smooth on his skates. He loved to travel and listen to music.

Victor was a man that believed in going to work. He was employed by the Salvation Army as a Truck Driver. He had many varies jobs, but his favorite employment was working for Walmart of Canal Winchester in the meat department. He enjoyed being in the store with the customers and his co-workers, he was well liked and respected, always smiling or laughing.

Victor retired in October 2020.

When it was time for Church, Higher Ground AAA was his place of worship. He enjoyed Bishop Sherman Watkins and the people, that worshiped there.

Our beloved Victor Andre Dorsey Sr. Peacefully entered into eternal rest on Thursday October 26, 2023, at the age of 67.

Victor was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Dorsey, Julia Mae and Emory Arnold Sr; grandson, Bobby Ray Wilson; siblings, Wallace Dorsey, Clayton Dorsey, and Pamela Green.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 46 years, Marsha Dorsey; son, Victor (Katrina) Dorsey Jr.; daughter, Sharita D. Naphier; five grandchildren; great-grandchild; He is survived by his siblings, brothers, Scott Dorsey, Emory Dorsey, Dennis Dorsey; sisters, Boris Dorsey, Kim (Willie) Wilkerson, Kellie Arnold, Lisa (Andre) Allen, Carmen Armstrong; special sister, Taisha (Ricky) Caslin; mother-in-law, Mijiza M. Ashanti; special brothers, Wayman Harrell Jr, and Lepaso Walker; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Farewell Dad, you will be missed and remember always
