William E. Milton

William Milton

William Ernest Milton was born on August 24th , 1945, to James and Laura Milton in
Christiansburg, Virginia. He passed into the hands of The Lord on May 23rd, 2023.
William’s family moved to Columbus, Ohio when he was very young. He attended Columbus
City Schools. He was a proud 1964 Graduate of East High (Tigers) and basketball letterman.
After high school he met his beautiful wife Marcella Milton, and they celebrated 55 wonderful
years of marriage.

William was an avid hunter in his early years and loved to spend time in the woods. He also
loved to fish and enjoyed spending time at the lake on his fishing boat. He was a talented artist,
and loved to plant strawberry patches in his garden. He doted over his children, and secretly.
loved spoiling his grandkids.

William never met a stranger, and that was evident when he walked into Kroger, and everyone.
there knew him. He loved everyone and spent the first Saturday of every month fellowshipping.
with his East High School classmates over breakfast.

William is survived by his wife Marcella Milton, two children Kim (Carlos) Smith and Keith
Milton, bonus daughter Vanessa Grant, grandchildren Kaelyn Smith, Cameron Smith, and
Preston Grant, adopted grandchildren Devan & Chaya Grant, sister Betty (Julian) Black, brother
James (JoAnn) Milton, sister Michaelle Moore, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other
relatives and friends.

He was a loving husband, father, brother, papa, and master fisherman. To know him was to
love him. He will truly be missed by all.
