Adanech Gebremariam, nickname Aduka, age 57 years old, she was a resident in Columbus, OH. Survived by her current loving spouse JAMA Hassan who loved and cared till the end. Her mother Woldehana Buznesh, her only son Ebenezer Bekele, her two grandsons Zakhai, Zyon, daughter-in-law; Kailee. Seife her older brother and younger brother Demeke. Adanech has many nieces and nephews, cousins as well as many close childhood friends whom she considered as her family. Our beloved Adanech passed away peacefully on the 9th, 8/23 at her home surrounded by her family and best friends. May she rest in heavenly peace. We all love you and you will be missed by all you have touched and your family.

Adanech holds a degree in home economy from Andrews University and Solusi Campus, Zimbabwe, and she taught home economics in high school for some years in Botswana. She was married to the late husband, the father of her son, Ebenezer (Alemayehu Bekele). She moved with her late husband to the USA 26 years ago. She worked as a manager in several different accounting firms. Also, she pursued her studies and completed her MBA degrees from Ohio State University. She was a devoted mother to her son Ebenezer, a loving wife to her best friend Jama Hassan, a good friend, a sister, an auntie, grandmother, and a mother-in-law. Our beloved sister, she was a spiritual woman, who loved reading her Bible every day and loved listening to spiritual music in different languages. She loved the gym, walking and getting together with friends for coffee and meals. Adanech was a mother to many under privileged people. She was kind, loving and supported. She contributed to their growth and development, physically, emotionally, spiritually, and financially. Adanech was the kind of person who was there for everyone in their time of trouble and needs. She was the first to jump in and organize events and care packages for the sick, both here in the USA and back in Africa. She was a counselor and an advocate for those who needed her special touch. She loved people and cherished life.

She was a kind woman who loved traveling, gathering friends, and people from different communities and walks of life. Her honesty and association with other people have earned her so much respect and love from those who knew her well.

Adanech loved people and her friends from all over the world and each one will tell you the same. She was a very unique person and her special touch and her relationships with people were all unique.
