Alfred Joseph Dawson, Jr. at the age 78 went home to be with the Lord on Monday September 18, 2023, at Mount Carmel East Hospital.
He was born March 9, 1945, to the late Alfred and Mary Dawson. Alfred was in the United State Air Force, for many years Alfred drove for yellow cab, Jax Transportation. He Retired from American Red Cross.
Alfred attend Columbus Public Schools, Alfred love to dance and have fun, he enjoyed playing the lottery numbers and scratch offs.
He preceded in death by his Parents, Alfred Dawson, Sr., Mary Elizabeth towns; brother, Filmore; sister, Delores; son, Frederick; daughter, Evonne.
He is surviving by his loving wife Angela; twin brother, Allen (Ann); devoted son, Jamie (Erika), Al (Brittney); daughter, Evett, Tamara, Ericka, Adrian. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, many nieces, nephew, cousins, and friends. Best friend George Harper.
Visitation 1:00 PM and Funeral Service 2:00 PM Monday, September 25, 2023, at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd).
My deepest condolences to my Uncle’s wife, his children, his twin brother, family and many friends which loved him. I’m gonna miss you Uncle Alfred. I have so many fun memories that I have shared with my children and grandchildren. We had so much fun with you. You made made laugh harder than anyone in my life could. You always loved us and with your beautiful wife always took care of us. I will see you again. Love your niece Toni❤️
