Anthony Lamar Jones Sr., a beloved son, devoted father, cherished spouse, and adored brother, passed away on October 6, 2023, at the age of 36. Born on May 22, 1987, in Columbus, Ohio, Anthony brought joy and laughter to all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. His sudden departure leaves a void in the hearts of family and friends that will never be filled.

Anthony was a man with a zest for life, finding joy in simple pleasures. He had a passion for fishing, spending countless hours by the water, casting his line and reveling in the peacefulness of nature. Music was another deep love of his, as he found solace in its rhythms and melodies. His charismatic nature and exceptional communication skills made him a captivating storyteller, always ready to engage in lively conversations that left everyone around him feeling uplifted.

Family was at the center of Anthony’s world, and he treasured every moment spent with his loved ones. He possessed a kind and generous spirit, always willing to lend a helping hand and sacrificing his own needs for the happiness of others. Anthony’s father, Dwuan Scott; daughter, Amyra Jones; son, Anthony Jones Jr.; spouse, Rena Jones; brothers, Kyron Jones, Dwuan Edwards, Lorenzo Turner; sister, Milah Scott, Victoria Edwards; and extended family members, including his grandmother Marie Jones, aunts, Tina (John Donaldson) Jones, Regina (David) Patterson, are left with cherished memories and immeasurable sense of loss.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nicolette Jones; grandparents, Frederick Easley, Mildred Jean and Ernest Elmore Scott; cousin, Julius Summerall Jr.

Anthony’s compassionate nature extended beyond his immediate family, as he held a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews, showing them with love and guidance. His selflessness and willingness to give the shirt off his back exemplified the depth of his character.

Though we grieve the loss of Anthony, let us remember the vibrant spirit he brought into all of our lives. It is through the memories we shared with him that his legacy will forever be kept alive. May he find eternal peace and may his loved one’s fine solace in the beautiful memories they create together.
