Ms. Christy Lashay Brice, born on June 28, 1983, in Columbus, Ohio from the union of William C. Brice Sr. and Cassandra L. Lovejoy, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday February 21, 2024.

Christy Brice attended Walnut Ridge High School in Columbus, Ohio and graduated in the class of 2002. She took her education very seriously, pursuing higher education in her later years. She worked extremely hard to maintain her 4.0 grade point average while simultaneously caring for her family under challenging circumstances. At the time of her passing, she worked at KMG Prestige.

Christy lived her forty (40) year life loving and caring for others. She especially loved children and she was there for her own children and the those of her family, friends, and even strangers. She was a person of deep faith and her devotion to caring for others reflected that during her life and will continue to do so during her time of eternal rest. With the utmost respect, we honor the life of Christy Lashay Brice, she truly touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her, leaving behind indelible marks of compassion.

Christy was preceded in death by her mother; grandparents, Edward Lovejoy, Fannie M. Clark, William H. and Ruth M. Brice; sister, Misty Lovejoy; and aunt, Greta Hayes.

Loving memories will continue to be cherished by her father of Ironton; sons, Kionnie L. Davis Jr. (KJ) and Kyrie L. Brice; siblings, William C. Brice II (Karen) of Moreno Valley, California, Mark Lovejoy of Phoenix, Arizona, Craig (Sheena) Brice of Columbus; and Samuel Lovejoy of Columbus; aunts, Dorothy Richardson of Columbus, Carol Brice Carter of Ironton, and Sharon Covington of Midway, Georgia; special friend, Aleicia Black and godchildren, Amira and Anaya Johnson of Columbus; and a whole host of nephews, nieces, cousins other family members, and friends.

Visitation 11:00 AM and Funeral Service 12:00 PM Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Chapel of Peace – East, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.

    I was so deeply saddened to hear about the passing of your sister Christy. She and I last spoke on the phone 2019. Often catching up on social media to talking on the phone, we laughed of family, and of old times when she was a little girl. Sharing memories as a neighbor..
