Delano “Lano” Royster

Delano Nathaniel Royster, “Lano”, was born March 1, 1994. At the age of 26 Lano passed away suddenly at Grant Medical Center July 2, 2020.

Delano was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. Delano enjoyed many activities including working as a landscaper and spending quality time with family and friends and crafting his talent as a local musician. He was always the life of the party and kept a huge smile on his face. He had a big heart and generous spirit. We find comfort in knowing Delano accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior at an early age.

Delano is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather; Nathaniel Logan, maternal great grandmother; Ruby Mitchell Solomon and great grandfather Harry Royster.

He leaves his cherished memory to his mother; Deitra Royster, father; Andrew Harris, son; Jakari Wright and his son’s mom Markia Wright. Grandmother; Pauline Trice, grandfather; Johnny Trice. Sister’s Nidra (Angel) Butler, Alesandra Palmer, Tykeshia Lanier, Dominique Smith, Jamila Perry. Special friend Maryssa Sotelo and best friends Desiree “Bookie” Davenport, Damone “Doc” Phillips, Erianna Brown and Latay McBrooks as well as, a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and family too many to name.

For everything there is a season, and a time for every [a]purpose under heaven: 2 a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; 3 a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; 4 a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; 5 a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; 6 a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; 7 a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; 8 a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace. My sweet sweet nephew with the biggest heart. My only nephew who I loved dearly like my own son. The only person that could just drop by unannounced, as you always did. My little nerve, I wish I could have everyone of those moments back again. You know the bond we had. I held you right after you were born. I got on your nerve preaching but you always listened and respected me. You always showed me love. I took you out to Vegas to show you the world. You meant everything to me. There is a whole in my heart but I will love you 4ever. I will smile when I think of you. I will visit you often. You will never be forgotten. I miss you so much already! I keep hearing your voice in my head, Auntie ain’t going. I love you nephew

  7. I experienced a heartbreak I wouldn’t wish on no one. Being notified that my baby brother died while being overseas and only hours from catching a flight home hurt so bad. I just couldn’t bring myself to believe what I was hearing. I was looking forward to seeing you.
I wish I had more time with you but the Lord needed you. What I would do for a hug and to exchange ”I love you’s” again. I don’t know who I’ll be able to yell at for getting into my car and taking things. We did what siblings do and I will say I will definitely miss you more than any human that walks this earth will ever know. I listened to your voicemail over and over again just to feel the warmth of your voice.

P.s. I love you to the moon and back!

    Your big sister Ni❤️
