Lisa Kay Lester, age 62, of Columbus, Ohio, was born in Washington Courthouse, Ohio July 7,1961, to the union of John Henry Lewis Ford and Janice Carol Ford. Lisa transitioned to rest on Friday December 8, 2023.

Lisa was a graduate of Linden McKinley High School where she was a member of the cheerleading squad and student council. She continued her education at Bowling Green State University and was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. Lisa met her future husband Michael Lester during her tenure at BGSU. They went on to be married April 14, 1984, and built a good life together producing three beautiful children to their union.

Lisa worked for many years in the healthcare profession both on the administrative and clinical sides where she was a State Tested Nursing Assistant. Lisa’s love for cheerleading came full circle as an adult when she was a cheerleading coach for Reynoldsburg’s Youth Football league. Her greatest joy came in spoiling her grandchildren, going to the beach, and shopping anywhere that accepted American currency. Lisa cherished her church and loved her church family. Over the years she worked on several church event committees. She took an active part in providing staff support for the Ambassadors for Christ Camp and worked closely with her daughter to reestablish the nursery ministry. Her gift was that she brought out the best in everyone she interacted with.

Lisa was preceded in death by her father, John Henry Lewis Ford, mother, Janice Carol Ford.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, Michael; children, Brittany (Dwaun), Christopher, and Erica; siblings; Robin and John; grandchildren Elijah, Mason, Cameron, and Dominic, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation 11:00 AM and Memorial Service 12:00 PM Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Columbus Bible Way, 2660 Rhoads Ave, Columbus, OH 43207. Ministry of Comfort entrusted to MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. LIVINGSTON AVE.
