Ms. Wallace was like a mother to me. She was in many ways a second mother to me as I lived away from my hometown Louisville, KY. Ms. Wallace helped me during one of the most difficult times in my as I was experiencing a divorce and separation from my then three-year-old son. During that time, we were family to each other, a mother and a son. Ms. Wallace opened her home to me and welcomed me, even nurturing me. She shared her family with me. We thrift shopped and frequented yard sales, drank super-sized White Castle coffee, and shared lots of laughs. I will always cherish the times we had together. I will never, ever forget her. I sorely miss her and always will. God knows I do. I’ll forever love her. I am praying for Laura, Bryan, and all her grandchildren.
