John A. Roby a long-time resident of Columbus Ohio, transitioned on Sunday November 15, 2020 in Columbus Ohio.

John was born on August 27, 1980 to John Lattimer and Betty Jean Roby. He was the eldest boy of John and Betty Jean Roby. He attended Pilgrim Elementary and East high school in Columbus, Ohio.

John is preceded in death by his daughter, Forever Precious Roby; son, Nathaniel Roby; brother, Benny Peoples; grandfather; Ceola Marshall; grandmother; Tony Lattimer; and uncle, John Thomas.

John leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Betty J. (Melvin) Roby; father, John (Regina) Lattimer; children, Legend Tee Roby, John T. Roby Jr., Tre’gan Roby, Tye Nathaniel Roby, Juan Anthony Roby, and King John Roby; very special person his wife, Erica Roby; grandparents, Mrs. Bettie J. Haynie–Braxton and John Thomas Lattimer; aunts, Vickie Lattimer and Dawanna Bowman-Davis; siblings, Linda F. (Rodney Gates) Roby, Bettye D. (Terrance J. Conley) Roby-Conley, Diana (Wardell Hoskins) Roby Hoskins, Robert L. Roby, Earnest Roby, Roshawn and Rodney Lattimer, and John T. Lattimer Jr.; nephews, Terron Conley, James Roby, Dentwone Evans, Di’yon Hoskins, and Michael Smith; nieces, Maria A. Roby, Don’jane Brazell, and Di’nisha Roby; very special cousins, Kelly J. McNeal, Shanita McNeal; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.

Ive been searching for john for 15 years and to find him this way is heart breaking i remember me a john sitting on my porch on maize rd and just clownin talking about life us both being young men at the time we thought we knew everything but one thing about john he was a father good friend and someone that i appreciated and respected no words can describe the pain im feeling at this moment thoughts and prayers for Nia and the kids and his family
