Jonathan Tylee Ash
Jonathan Tylee Ash, known to family and friends as “Jon” passed away on June 21, 2023, at the age of 18 from injuries sustained on June 8,2023. He was surrounded by family and friends at Grant Medical Center when he passed away. Jon was born on July 29, 2004, in Mansfield,Ohio, to Elmer Ash Jr and Tidei Kennebrew Cremeans. Jon will always be remembered as a loving son, brother, nephew, uncle and cousin.
Jon lived with his brother Keandre’ Kennebrew and worked at Jay Industries Incorporated in Mansfield at the time of his death. Jon was a laid back, chill type of person who did not like conflict or drama. He was sweet and kind and had a smile that would light up the room. Jonathan will be sorely missed and never ever forgotten by his family and friends.
Jonathan was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Gloria A. Kennebrew; paternal grandmother, Thelma Brown; paternal grandfather Elmer Ash Sr; and sister Jacarra D. Ash. He is survived by his mother, Tidei(James) Cremeans; father Elmer Ash Jr; his brothers, Christopher Bailey, Brandon Ash and Keandre’ Kennebrew; his sisters Dominique Bailey, Kayla and Kendra Ash, special cousins, Melissa Sayre, Nala Brown and Tysha’nae Cole; as well as numerous aunts uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A visitation will be held at 10:00am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00am on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Providence Baptist Church, 211 W. Sixth St. The service will not be live streamed. Jonathan will be laid to rest at the Mansfield Cemetery Association. Arrangements entrusted to Marian Gary Funeral Home-The Chapel of Peace. I had the privilege of getting to know Jon through his amazing family during his time at Grant. He had such a sweet aura about him. He’s a patient that touched my life and that I’ll never forget. Sending prayers to his mom, dad, aunts and all who loved him.
