Julius A. Summerall Jr., a beloved son, brother, and friend, peacefully departed from this world on September 18, 2023, in Columbus, Ohio. Born on April 8, 2005 to Tina Jones-Donaldson and Julius A. Summerall Sr., he brought joy and laughter to the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Julius, known for his infectious sense of humor and compassionate nature, had a heart dedicated to helping others. He had a special passion for assisting those with special needs, always going above and beyond to lend a helping hand. Music held a special place in his heart, with Chris Brown being his favorite artist. A student at Eastmoor Academy, Julius showcased his skills on the basketball court and dreamt of becoming a tow-truck driver and firefighter. His motto, “You take what you get, and you don’t have a fit,” reflected his resilient and positive outlook on life.

Julius was preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Frederick Easley, as well as his aunts Nicolette Jones, Pamela Summerall, and April Summerall-Long, and stepbrother, Nissan Donaldson. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Julius is survived by his devoted mother, Tina (John) Jones-Donaldson, his father, Julius Summerall Sr., grandparents Paul and Katherine Summerall, and Marie Jones, great-granmother Caroline Summerall, and his siblings Ja’Quan, Ja’Mari, Day’Lashawn, and Antonio Summerall, as well as his sister Tae’Shawna Summerall. He also leaves behind his stepbrother Tyson Donaldson and his special cousin Aretha Tanner-McKissick. Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends will forever hold him close in their hearts.

Julius A. Summerall Jr. touched the lives of many with his kind spirit, infectious laughter, and unwavering dedication to helping others. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his legacy will continue to inspire kindness and compassion.

Rest in peace, dear Julius. Your impact on this world will forever be cherished.

The funeral services celebrating Julius’ remarkable life will take place at the Chapel of Peace – East. The visitation is on September 29, 2023, at 1:00 pm. The funeral service is following at 2:00 pm. A burial, marking Julius’ final resting place, will follow.
