Linda, was one the matriarchs of the Broadnax-Turner family and a beautiful soul. She knew no stranger, she was a very encouraging God fearing woman, surrogate mother, servant, and Prayer Warrior to many. She was also an enthusiastic historian and genealogist who loved to learn and understand the history of her family.

Growing up, Linda attended Felton and Koble Elementary, Beery Junior High, and Marion Franklin High School in Columbus Public Schools. After high school, she attended Columbus State Community College. Her work history included time with National City Bank, Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS), and her personal in-home childcare center. She attended Trinity and Bethany Baptist Church, where she was baptized and accepted the LORD as her personal savior at the age of 13 years old, under the leadership of A. Wilson Wood at Bethany. She received the Holy Ghost while attending Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith and then went on to attend and join New Covenant Believers Church under the direction of Bishop Howard Tillman. Linda wanted the world to know that she truly loved the LORD and SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, and thanked him each and everyday for dying for her.

Condolence Messages

  1. I and the Hill brothers love you Broadnaxes to pieces. I think of y’all as our first neighbors growing up on Omar Drive in the Koebel/Southfield area. Lots of fun times.
This loss of Linda is so profound that I’m numb. I am so sorry that she is gone this soon from the earth.
I know she has been you all’s rock since the passing of your mom and that there is an unexpected, shocking, gaping hole in y’all’s hearts and souls.
I am praying for each of you.
I also submit that she is more than fine and dandy at this time in heaven with no need for a breathing apparatus.
I believe for y’all that the best is yet to come.

    Mark P. Hill
