Lonnie “Baby Hog” Dockery

LC Dockery “Baby Hog” passed away Monday, December 11, 2023. He was born and raised in Olive Branch, Mississippi where he attended East High School. After graduation, he moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1965 where he met his loving and devoted wife, Shirley, who he married in 1966.

To this union, 4 lovely children were born. Two daughters, Nileta “Lisa” Dockery and Leonnette Dockery; two sons, Lonnie Dockery Jr. and Reggie Dockery.

LC was a workaholic and always had at least 2 jobs at one time. His main job was at Crane Plastics working as a Machinist dedicating most of his time and retiring after 30 plus years of faithful service.

LC was always fascinated with sports cars and motorcycles. He owned several Mustangs and Camaro’s and this soon became one of his favorite hobbies. He also loved to travel. If he wasn’t traveling with family, he was on the road with the Flames Motorcycle Club. Whether it was Arkansas, Alabama, east, west, north or south, he was always up to traveling.

He was a dedicated member of the Flames Motorcycle Club for 54 years.

LC is preceded in death by his father, Henry Dockery; mother, Ruby Dockery; brothers, James Henry Dockery, Larry C. Dockery; sister, Louise Dockery; wife, Shirley Dockery; sons, Lonnie “Clay” Dockery, Eljay Deshawn Manns; daughter, Tameika Manns.

Left to cherish his memory, daughters, Nileta “Lisa” Dockery, Leonnette; sons, Reggie Dockery, Von Peaks and Dr. Lonnie (Dr. Stephenie) Manns. A host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation 9:00am and Funeral 10:00am Saturday, December 30, 2023 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.

Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.

  4. Everysince I was a toddler. I always remembered ‘Baby Hog” with the nice motorcycles. Was the first person to give me a ride on one when I was five. You were a good friend to my Mother and entire family and will Always be remembered for your joyful personality and infectious laugh. Really hate to know your gone. Rest easy Baby Hog.
