Makeia Ann Norwood, 42, of Columbus, Ohio received her heavenly wings on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Majestic Care of
Columbus after an 18-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). She was born May 15, 1981, in Columbus, Ohio, to Anna
Norwood and Frank James.

Makeia was a lifelong resident of the Southfield Community where she lived close to her mother until her physical condition required additional medical care. Throughout her life, Makeia attended several Christian schools for elementary training and attended Marion-Franklin for her high school years. Although she was diagnosis with MS early in life, she remained a joy to all.

Her wit and at times spunky demeanor left a lasting impression on all that experienced her presents. Although her MS
progressed over the years, Makeia loved and remained active with her daughter, Areanna. Throughout the years she made
it a habit to call Areanna, while she dressed for school every day.

Preceded in death, her father, Frank James; grandfather(s), Theodore Meadows, and Clarence Norwood; aunt, Mary Jo Norwood, and a host of uncles, aunts, friends, and family.

Also, surviving is her mother, Anna Norwood of Columbus; grandmother, Emma Norwood of Columbus; her son, Armani
Norwood of Columbus; daughter, Areanna Norwood of Columbus; two granddaughters, Sunsii Norwood (Haneen Shalash) of
Hilliard, Ohio, and Yuri Norwood (Brianna Flemming) of Columbus; one sister, Michelle Norwood of Columbus, and very close and dear family friend, Mary Hargrove of Columbus; nephews, Tyler, Tyron, Gregory, and Jordan Norwood, all of Columbus; aunt, Patricia Stoumile, and cousin, Anthony Norwood (Brandi Gilliam and Kaeden Norwood) of Columbus.
