Mr. Marcus Ivan Giles

With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Marcus Ivan Giles, born on December 8, 1960, in Tuskegee, AL. He was the cherished son of Clara and Moses Giles, and the beloved brother of Barbara Binns, Sandra (Robert Sanders) Giles, and Jerone Giles. Marcus departed from this world on March 12, 2024, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be remembered. He will always have a special place in the hearts of his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Marcus spent his career and retired as a devoted Chef at The Ohio State University, where he poured his passion into creating culinary delights. He found solace and joy in spending hours on his computer, savoring the victories of the Ohio State Buckeyes Football Team, and sharing cherished moments with his family. Known for his quick wit and humor, Marcus was the family comedian who always had a joke to share or a smile to offer.

In his peaceful abode, Marcus found comfort in sipping beer and relishing the simple pleasures of life. He loved the camaraderie of family gatherings and the warmth of companionship. Preceded in death by his parents, Marcus’ memory will forever be cherished by all who knew him.
