Willie Mae Jones was born on September 15, 1934 to the union of the late Willie Jones and Lillie Mae Kendrick (Hampton) in Augusta, Georgia. She was a retiree from the Kroger Bakery/Ford Assembly Plant where she worked for over 30 years. Willie Mae had a love for gardening, playing the lottery numbers and spending time with her grandchildren.

On Sunday, August 13, 2023, Willie Mae went home to be with the Lord at the age of 88 at the Village of Westerville.

She is preceded in death by her father, Willie Jones; mother, Lillie Mae Kendrick (Hampton); brother, Alfred Jones; granddaughter, Jackie West-Toles; siblings/cousins from the Hampton family tree, Johnnie Simmons, Nathaniel Wiley, John (June) Wiley, Essie Kemp and Robert Hampton.

Those who remain to cherish memories of Willie Mae include her daughter, Delores Jennings; son, Bryant (Marla) Jones; grandchildren, Scottie West, Julia Jennings, Anyssa Jones, Leila Jones, Xavier Jones; great-grandchildren, Shandara West, James West, Adrian West, Jamal Toles; 6 great-great grandchildren; sister/cousin, Lillie Bell Jackson-Kirk, Nellie Bynum, Rosetta Dukes (Jones) along with special nieces, Regina Parker and Michelle (Christopher) Hartway.

Visitation 10:00 AM and Funeral Service 11:00 AM Friday, August 18, 2023 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.). Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.
