Rhoderick Harden was born September 19, 1959 and passed away on Monday February 26, 2024 in Columbus Ohio. Even though he was taken from us due to a long battle with Cancer. He fought a good fight down to the very end. He left this world surrounded by his immediate family. His loving and quiet heart will remain with his entire family and friends. Rhoderick is the son of the late Willie Henry and Johnnie Mae Harden.

Rhoderick was a 1978 Graduate of Northland High School in Columbus Ohio. His work career included Metropolitan Housing, Swan Cleaners and Schottenstein Distribution Center for many years prior to early retirement. He was affectionately known to some as “Rick”, Slick”, Uncle Rick, and Cousin Rick. He will always be remembered for his smooth charismatic and very groomed way of living. Rick was also an avid Cleveland Browns fan.

Rick was a devoted man and a loyal friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him well. Well done good and faithful servant, you have been faithful. Now take your rest peacefully into Paradise.

He Is preceded in death by 3 sisters, Willie Mae Cato, Charlene Harden Waiters, and Thelma Kent; 2 brothers, Mackson “MC” Thompson, and John Harden; niece, Carmen Thompson; nephew, Lavon Cato; great niece, Gianna Mae Cato; great great nephew, Jeffrey Hairston.

He Is survived and leaves to mourn 5 sisters, Bernadine Singleton, Velma Harden, Patricia Harden, Nevester Harden, and Cassandra Harden; 2 brothers, James (Catherine) Harden, Terry (Stephanie) Harden; sister in-law, Sarah Thompson; aunt, Clarice Walker; bonus daughter, Brooke Boyd; special family/friends, Hyler “Sis” Ray and Eldridge “ED” Davis. Many nephew, nieces, great nephews, great nieces and a host of cousins.

Special thanks to his family caregivers, sister/roommate, Patricia; brother, Terry; niece/sister, Tamra Hairston and great nephew, JaJuan Hairston for providing quality health care and grooming needs. A very special thanks to The Ohio State James Cancer Clinic for providing most of his medical needs. The family is also very grateful to all the wonderful acts of love and kindness during the loss of our beloved.
