Dereco DeShawn Tention, age 26 departed this life suddenly on November 23, 2018 at St. Ann’s Mt. Carmel in Westerville, Ohio. Dereco was born on April 17, 1992 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital in Columbus, Ohio to parents Deborah Montgomery and Franky Tention.
Dereco was a senior at Beechcroft Highschool. Dereco, nicknamed “P” or “Reco” was his own boss. He was a very independent, loving, and caring person. He loved his family and friends.
Reco is preceded in death by grandmother Victoria Howard, father Franky Tention, brother Franky Tention, aunt Cynthia Hillman, uncle Labaron Howard, cousin Octoria Hodge, and grandfather John Bell.
Dereco leaves to cherish his memory; loving mother Deborah Montgomery, daughter Frankie Tention, sisters Carmacita, Shawntay, and Kendra Allison, LaKeisha Tention, and Yashica Dear, brothers Linwood Allison, Terrence Montgomery, Leon Tention and Kassim Bear, grandfather Leon Howard, aunts Melody and Teresa Montgomery, Karla, and Monica Howard, uncles Joseph Howard of Columbus, Ohio, Gary (Karen) Howard of Baltimore, great uncles Douglas and Kyle Montgomery, great aunt Lucy Gouffrey of West Virginia, special nephew Jayvontez Smith, special great nephew Charles Carson Jr., special niece Mai’Kechia Stewart, special great niece Alani Russell, special friend and mother of child Ashley Green, special friends Ricardo (Rubin) Stewart, Patrick Agee, Tyree Darby, Jayvon Smith, Derrick Evans, Resden Logan and ” Fatty”, stepbrothers Lintae Peyton, Lintonio Peyton, KK, KeKee, Shanee, and Danny. Also a host of other family and friends.
