Angela Patrice Smith

Angela Patrice Smith was born on February 19, 1954 in Louisville, KY to Matthew and Cleota Shipe.

Angela, affectionately known as Ann or Angie, had retired after 21 years with the post office. If you knew her, you would know that she was a no-nonsense type of women. She was honest, straight forward, and very passionate about her loved ones.

Angela had several cats growing up which played a part in her love for animals, especially cats. If Angela heard someone talk about playing cards, she was ready. Whether it be tonk, bidwhiz or spades, she could play them all. She was considered the “Eastside Champion” in her neighborhood.

Angela was preceded in death by her loving parents Matthew and Cleota Shipe and daughter Cynthia Smith.

Angela leaves to cherish her memory: Daughter: Patrice Smith, Granddaughters: Brittany Stanley & Tela Griffin, Grandsons: Christin Wade, Murad, & Latif Muhammad, Sister: Sandy Henderson, Brothers: Matthew, Eugene & Hosea Shipe and a host of Great Grandchildren & other family & friends.
