Beatrice Mae Galloway born July 4, 1942 to the late Leo & Alice Lyons in Saint Clairsville, Ohio took her earthly rest Thursday June 18, 2020.

Beatrice Mae relocated to Wheeling West Virginia shortly after her birth. There she attended and graduated with honors from Wheeling Heights High School in June of 1960. Where she met and married James D. Galloway in the year of 1960 and remained married for more than 20 years prior to her divorce.

It is no accident Beatrice was birthed into this world on July 4, as she was full of independence, life and love! Her smile could radiate an entire room, as long as you stayed on her “good side”. Her sweet spirit would captivate anyone she would come in contact with. But don’t be fooled, if you weren’t on her list of liking she would be just as eager to let you know how she felt without question or doubt she spoke her mind and her feelings. This is probably why so many people loved her.

On any given day, she could be found working. She loved to work, amongst many other things. She was employed as a Medical Assistant in Wheeling W.V, which spoke to her passion to help people. At her core, she was a giver, helper, server and lover. After relocating to Columbus, Ohio, she took her passion and love for music and dancing and landed a job working in Hospitality at Flames Bar as a bar tender. She could make a mean drink that would have you feeling “too good”. It is no secret she was most definitely talented. She also loved to cook, cooking “any” and “everything” as her grandkids would often say. They had to be careful to ask what they were about to indulge in because she did not mind cooking up a rabbit or squirrel for feasting, and if you were not careful you might end up with a frog in your soup.

Beatrice Mae birthed 7 beautiful children who all had her traits from her looks, to her drive, talent, passion and love all the way to her feisty yet vivacious, witty personality. All of which she loved and cherished highly.

Beating Beatrice Mae to eternal rest was her parents the late Leo & Alice Lyons, her brothers Larry Jackson, Donald Jackson & Richard Goins. Two of her children Gloria Jean Galloway and James Dewitt Galloway. Left behind to grieve her absence yet cherish her memory Her siblings Peggy Miller & Patricia Lyons, Her children; Sonya (Lawrence) Lott, Patricia (Galloway) Roberts, Jamey Galloway, Victoria Forrest & Alan (Tammy) Galloway. Left behind to carry her legacy on are 31 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and close friends.
