Bernie Eugene Agnew was born August 31, 1953 in Baldwyn, Mississippi to the late Bernia Eugene Agnew and to Betty Jean Agnew. He went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on June 18,2018 at 2:30 pm at Grant Medical Center with his children by his side.

Bernie grew up in Mississippi later to move to Columbus Ohio where he graduated from Marion Franklin High school. Bernie joined Apostolic Faith Temple in the late 90’s. For many years he worked as a cook for MCL of Columbus Ohio. Bernie was a loving soul and always fun company to have around. He loved his mother and father dearly as well as his children, grandchildren, family and friends. His kindness, good times, memories and love of family and friends will leave a lasting feeling of joy and love with everyone he leaves behind.

Bernie is proceeded in death by his father; Bernie Eugene Agnew; son, Robert C. Davis; close friend, Claretha McCoffin and step son, Deshawn L. Williams.

He is Survived by Mother, Betty Jean Agnew; sisters, Betty Ann Cuncluff of Arizona, Gwenetta Agnew, and Labernis Agnew; brothers, Robin and Timothy Agnew; daughters, Terry and Sherry McCoffin, Kyra and Tyra Williams, Cherokee and Bashebia Agnew; sons, Bernie Agnew Jr. and Eugene Johnson; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, a host of other relatives, friends, family, close friend Rosetta Williams, and special family friend Mrs. Abbott.

Each of us who are reading this shouldn’t mourn his passage, but remember the good times shared. And know whether good or bad, always remember that he loved you with all his heart and with you in prayer.

Visitation 11:00am and Funeral 12:00pm Friday, June 29, 2018 at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.
