Brandon Manny Collins

Brandon Collins

Brandon “Biz” Collins left this earthly world, October 27, 2023, but not before leaving his mark on the hearts of many. Brandon was born September 21, 2005, to LaKisha Ransaw and Brandon Manny Collins in Columbus, Ohio.

Fondly known as “Beans,” Brandon was a devoted son and loving friend with an unwavering dedication to a vegetarian lifestyle, which affectionately led him to be known as “Brandon, the vegetarian.” Brandon’s life was a testament to the strong bond he shared with his family, a relationship characterized by love, admiration, and a shared commitment to living a compassionate life.

Brandon was the embodiment of a son who idolized his father. From an early age, he looked up to his dad and eventually modeled his vegetarian habits. The connection they shared was something truly special, built on a foundation of respect, shared values, and a deep understanding of one another.

A fashion icon in his own right, Brandon had an affinity for the hottest trends and his friends were known to say, “He stay with it on!” He wouldn’t be caught without a fresh haircut and a new pair of sneakers. In fact, he was an avid sneaker collector. To say fine attire was his forte is an understatement. With his eye on fashion, Brandon was also an entrepreneur with his own t-shirt company “evol.” He knew how to plan for his future and his ultimate success. Brandon dreamed of entering the United States Air Force and traveling the world. Brandon had an infectious charming smile that could lure anyone in and melt the coldest of hearts, especially the ladies. It wasn’t uncommon to hear him say, “Where the mommies?” as most of his friends were young ladies, many of which enjoyed being in his presence. He was well known within his entourage of friends to always be in a great mood and had a knack for lighting up any room or space with laughter.

His playful demeanor didn’t stop with his friends either. As a brother to both older and younger siblings, he never missed an opportunity to lecture his little sisters and jokingly give his older siblings his great and knowledgeable “fatherly” advice.

He leaves to hold the torch of his legacy his mother, Lakisha Ransaw; father, Brandon Manny Collins; siblings, Mario (Madison) Davison, LaCario Davison, Ryan Peaks, Branisha Collins, Justine Collins, Michaela Cross, Mackenzie Cross, Veronica Collins, Kevin Collins, Maurice Collins and Monzo Collins (both of Brooklyn, New York); nieces, and nephews, Jasmine, Nevaeh, Hezekiah, Gabriel, and a host of friends and extended family.

In the words of Brandon, “It do hit different,” and though his passing will leave a deep chasm in our hearts, he will live forever in each and every one life he’s touched.

Visitation 4-6pm followed by Funeral at 6pm Thursday November 9, 2023 at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church 2283 Sunbury Rd. Columbus, Ohio. A Funeral will also take place in Mansfield Ohio at 1pm Saturday November 11, 2023 at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE MANSFIELD 753 McPherson St. Mansfield, Ohio (formerly Williams Funeral Services).
